Now more than ever, journalists need to tell the real story about worker rights, racial and social justice, and immigration.

Have a long-form story, series or photo project focused on these topics? We want to help you get it out there and get paid for it.

The members of the Pacific Media Workers Guild offer professional guidance and support through Bay News Rising, a one-of-a-kind student summer program.

Our union demands fair deals for all freelancers and an end to exploitative unpaid internships. This summer, we are offering up to $1,000 stipends, plus limited expenses for professional-level projects.

Participation qualifies you to be a member of The NewsGuild-CWA.

We’ve been fighting for journalists since 1936. Now it’s your turn.
